I genuinely believe this should be required reading in all Western schools. It could be used to provide a fascinating and engaging look at world history, without the bias that British or American school curriculums currently exhibit towards their own nation’s history.

Once the subject matter has been absorbed and enjoyed, then students (and adults alike) could gain so much from understanding how the author has decided what is true, and what is not.

Clearly the author has a frightening grasp of history, and somehow he manages to impart that on the reader in an engaging and revelatory way.
